President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said that Nigeria’s history and future cannot be fully told without recognizing the sacrifices, resilience, and contributions of women across the country.
Speaking at the 9th edition of the Voice of Women Conference & Awards (VOW2025) in Abuja, President Tinubu emphasized that women remain central to the nation’s progress, urging stakeholders to ensure greater inclusion in governance, business, and community leadership.
He commended Nigerian women for their role in sustaining families, driving enterprise, and shaping society, adding that his administration would continue to prioritize policies that advance gender equity under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Tinubu pledged that federal programs targeting poverty reduction, economic empowerment, and healthcare delivery would deliberately incorporate women, noting that sustainable national development can only be achieved when women are fully engaged.
The President further acknowledged the impact of women trailblazers in politics, education, and advocacy, stressing that “no story of Nigeria is complete without the voice of women.”
The Voice of Women Conference & Awards is an annual platform that celebrates female leadership, amplifies women’s issues, and advocates for stronger participation in nation-building.
