NCPC set to flag off postponed Easter Pilgrimage

In readiness for the exercise, the Commission held an orientation programme in Abuja to equip staff with the mental, physical, and operational skills required for a smooth operation.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Secretary of NCPC, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, confirmed that the pilgrimage would officially take off next week from the Sam Mbakwe International Airport in Owerri, Imo State. He described the journey as a chance for Christians to renew their faith and deepen their spiritual connection in the Holy Land.

Bishop Adegbite charged staff to render selfless service to pilgrims, particularly the elderly, and to approach their duties with humility and compassion. He further explained that this year’s delayed Easter exercise would involve four flights, after which preparations for the main pilgrimage would begin in earnest.

He assured staff that his leadership would continue to operate an open-door policy, encouraging them to see him as a servant leader rather than a boss. According to him, the goal is to leave pilgrims with an unforgettable experience while serving God diligently.
