Igboho, who was declared wanted by the Department of State Services in July 2021 over allegations of stockpiling arms, said his bank accounts remained frozen, leaving him stranded.
During a visit to the Ooni at the Ile Oodua Palace in Ile-Ife on Saturday, Igboho apologised for his past verbal attacks on the monarch, describing him as a father.
“I am here to seek your help once more. I am still on the Federal Government’s wanted list, and I plead that you assist me in clearing my name. My accounts are also frozen, and I want the embargo lifted,” he said.
He also restated his commitment to tackling insecurity in the South-West, vowing to help flush out criminals from the forests.
Responding, Ooni Ogunwusi said he had forgiven Igboho for his past remarks and assured him of support, promising to work towards lifting the restrictions placed on him.
