Lawal described the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammed (Peace Be Upon Him) as spiritually significant, noting that it offers Muslims an opportunity to deepen their devotion to Allah and seek His guidance.
He expressed appreciation to the Muslim Ummah in Oyo State for their unwavering support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration over the past six years, while urging continued cooperation as the government pushes forward with its development agenda.
“On behalf of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, I felicitate with all Muslims in Oyo State and beyond on witnessing this year’s Eid-el-Mawlid. Beyond the celebration, I encourage everyone to take this opportunity to pray fervently for our state and nation,” he said.
The Acting Governor reassured residents of the administration’s commitment to security and progress, while calling for vigilance from the public.
“As we mark this sacred occasion, let us celebrate responsibly. Our government will continue to prioritize the safety of lives and property, but we also need residents to remain alert and promptly report any suspicious activity.
Eid Mubarak to you all,” Lawal added.
